April 21, 2023 (Friday) Welcome to Japan – Day 1

April 22, 2023 (Saturday) Classic Kyoto – Day 2
Privately Guided Day by Public Transportation

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Sanjusangendo (Temple of the Thousand Armed Kannon)
  • Samurai Style Tea Ceremony at Bikouen Tea House
  • Lunch at a local restaurant (included)
  • Nishi Honganji (Jodo Pure Land Buddhist Temple)
  • Nishiki Market (A traditional foods paradise)
  • Open Evening for you to explore restaurants, bars, karaoke, and other activities around Kyoto (self-pay). Yoshie will be glad to help you make your plans for the evening if you ask her during the day.

April 23, 2023

(Sunday) Kurama Day 1 – Day 3
Privately Guided Day by Public Transportation

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Take taxi to Demachiyanagi station, then Eizan line train to Kurama station
  • Guide Yoshie Hara framiliarizes us with Mount Kurama
  • Box Lunches provided to be eaten on the mountain (included)
  • Tour of the mountain continues until sunset
  • Transfer back to Downtown Kyoto by Public Transportation
  • Open Evening for you to explore restaurants, bars, karaoke, and other activities around Kyoto (self-pay). Yoshie will be glad to help you make your plans for the evening if you ask her during the day.

April 24, 2022 (Monday) Tokyo Day Trip – Day 4
Privately Guided Day by Public Transportation

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Take the Shinkansen to Tokyo (bullet train)
  • Reiki self-treatment on the train
  • Meet Dr. Justin B. Stein in Tokyo
  • Lunch at a local restaurant (included)
  • Tour of Usui Memorial at Saihoji temple and cemetery
  • Tour of Meiji Jingu and Meiji Shrine
  • Dinner as a group in Tokyo at a local restaurant (included)
  • Return to Kyoto in the night by Shinkansen

April 25, 2022 (Wednesday) Kurama Day 2– Day 5
Privately Guided Day

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Take taxi to Demachiyanagi station, then Eizan line train to Kurama station
  • Meet Dr. Justin B. Stein for a guided Reiki tour of Mount Kurama
  • Box Lunches provided to be eaten on the mountain (included)
  • Tour of the mountain with Dr. Stein continues until sunset
  • Transfer back to Downtown Kyoto by Public Transportation
  • Go to Dinner with with Dr. Stein (self-pay)
  • He might be convinced to go to Karaoke with us…
  • Or enjoy the evening on your own if you prefer

April 26, 2022 (Wednesday) Western Kyoto Arashiyama – Day 6
Privately Guided Day by Public Transportation

  • Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple (with 1,200 cute moss-covered Buddha statues)
  • Lunch at a local restaurant (included)
  • Tenryuji Temple (famous for its scenic garden and pond)
  • Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (pictured at right)
  • Open Evening for you to explore restaurants, bars, karaoke, and other activities around Kyoto (self-pay). Yoshie will be glad to help you make your plans for the evening if you ask her during the day.

April 27, 2022 (Thursday) Fushimi’s Tori Gates – Day 7
Privately Guided Day by Public Transportation

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine (a full mountain covered in picture perfect Tori gates)
  • Manshuin Temple (with famed Zen garden and raked dry stone landscape)
  • Lunch at a local restaurant (included)
  • Enkoji Temple (famous for it’s “Running Dragon Garden”)
  • Shisendo Temple (a smaller Zen temple also famous for it’s landscape)
  • Open Evening for you to explore restaurants, bars, karaoke, and other activities around Kyoto (self-pay). Yoshie will be glad to help you make your plans for the evening if you ask her during the day.

April 28, 2022 (Friday) Kurama Day 3 – Day 8
Privately Guided Day

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Take taxi to Demachiyanagi station, then Eizan line train to Kurama station
  • Yoshie leads group from Kurama side, over the top of the mountain, to the Kibune side
  • Lunch in Kibune in a restaurant over the river (self-pay)
  • Tour Kibune with Yoshie
  • Transfer back to Downtown Kyoto by Public Transportation
  • Enjoy a Farewell Dinner with the group at a local restaurant (included)

 


April 29, 2022 (Saturday) Sayonara – Day 9
Departure

  • Breakfast in the hotel (included)
  • Independent Departure with Private Transfer to the Airport (included)
