Christopher Tellez

Christopher Tellez is the owner of SF REIKI CENTER and has been practicing Reiki since 2010. Christopher was initiated as a Reiki Master in 2016 after studying under Brian Brunius of NYC REIKI CENTER and completing a rigorous two-year Master Apprenticeship, 2,000 hours of client sessions, and presentation of his project entitled Needs Assessment of the Bay Area Reiki Community.  He is a traditional Reiki Master following the standards of Hawayo Takata, who introduced Reiki and the discipline of Usui Shiki Ryoho to the West. Christopher has also worked in the social work profession for over two decades and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. Currently, he is working on attaining his LCSW.

Christopher sees clients who are experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, those going through surgery, members of the LGBT community, people with cancer and HIV, children, people working on changing negative thoughts and belief patterns, and on occasion animals.

Christopher has been featured in Dot429 and Seven Ponds magazine. Christopher also volunteers with Shanti’s Breast Cancer Program and has been funded by The U’ilani Fund to give Reiki to Breast Cancer survivors.

Christopher is a member of Reiki Centers of America a not- for- profit, committed to training and empowering Reiki Practitioners and Reiki Masters to develop successful Reiki Centers and thriving Reiki communities in North America. He serves on the board of Northwest Reiki Gathering, a not-for-profit which has hosted an annual Reiki gathering since 1985. He volunteers with Reiki Home, an International Reiki organization building a global Reiki community and is also a member of the Reiki Alliance, an international community of Reiki Masters dedicated to the practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing.

Christopher sees clients privately, teaches classes at SFRC and develops all SF REIKI CENTER projects.
