NYC Reiki Center
Brian Brunius

Brian Brunius is the founder and director of the New York City Reiki Center, which he founded in 2007. He has been practicing Reiki for nearly twenty-four years.

Brian Brunius learned first and second degree Reiki from John Harvey Gray, a student of Hawayo Takata, in 1995 and 1997. John advised Brian to practice Reiki for ten years before considering entering the Master training. During those years, in addition to seeing Reiki clients part-time, he was a media executive and earned an M.B.A. from Villanova University. In 2006 Brian left his media career to engage in a three-year Reiki Master apprenticeship. During that training he started the NYC Reiki Center and began his full time practice of Reiki on a professional level. In 2010, he was initiated as a Master and began to teach Reiki classes regularly.

In 2013 he founded Reiki Centers of America to preserve the early Reiki teachings he learned, and the practical knowledge he received from John Gray about how to run a Reiki business successfully.

Brian is a member of Reiki Centers of America a not-for-profit charitable organization committed to training and empowering Reiki Practitioners and Reiki Masters to develop successful Reiki Centers and thriving Reiki communities in North America. He is also a member of The Reiki Alliance, an international community of Reiki Masters dedicated to the practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing.

Brian sees clients privately, teaches classes at NYCRC and develops all NYC REIKI CENTER projects.
